Last week, on November 17-18, Congress 590 took place – a platform for debates on current political, economic and social issues. This year, the event returned to Subcarpathian Province, Poland. Previously, it was held at the G2A Arena Exhibition and Congress Center in Jasionka, this time, due to the stationing of American soldiers there, Congress 590 was held at the University of Rzeszów.

Congress 590 is a key economic event in Poland, which has been held every year since 2016. This year’s 7th edition was held under the slogan “We bring everyone together”, and the topic of consideration concerned international cooperation of the Three Seas Initiative countries. The most important people in the country graced the event with their presence: industry experts, managers of the largest state-owned companies, representatives of the Council of Ministers, the Sejm and the Senate of the Republic of Poland and the President of the Republic of Poland, who is the honorary patron of Congress 590.

This year’s edition of the event was special for Subcarpathian Province, but not only because of the possibility of hosting the participants of the debate. President Andrzej Duda, during a conversation in the Congress 590 studio in Rzeszów, emphasized the important role of Subcarpathian Province in providing help to Ukraine. On May 22, 2022, the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy, just before his joint appearance with the President of the Republic of Poland in the Ukrainian Parliament, issued a special decree on awarding the Subcarpathian Rzeszów with the Honorary Title of the City-Lifeguard, and then handed the document to President Andrzej Duda. Last Thursday, November 17, 2022, the decree was handed over to the Mayor of the City of Rzeszów, Konrad Fijołek, who received the award on behalf of all residents of the city and noted that it is an award that every inhabitant of Rzeszów deserves.

The CEO of Ledolux Poland, Mr. Artur Rozmus, taking part in Congress 590, had the honor to talk to Mayor of Rzeszów – Mr Fijołek – and hold in his hands the honorary award for our city.

Undoubtedly, receiving such award is an honor for all citizens of Rzeszów. On this occasion, congratulations and, above all, thank you to all the residents. The war is not an opportunity to collect badges and reasons to be proud, nevertheless we are proud that Rzeszów did not bend and strongly supports our eastern neighbor in these most difficult times.
